Project Description: This licence has been issued for the scientific research application No.4971. The aim of this study is to highlight the impact that Bachelors in the Science of Nursing (BSN) project-based practica have had on various aspects of community practice partner organizations. The objectives of this study are: 1) to understand the perspectives of community practice partners utilized by Nursing Practice VI (Community & Health Promotion) and Nursing Practice VII (Leadership in Nursing Practice) course(s); 2) to determine the sustainability of student projects over time; and, 3) to catalog course project details (location/organization/field guide/project focus/number of projects/number of students). This research will involve focus groups and individual face-to-face semi-structured interviews with field guides and representatives of community practice organizations. An inventory of project details (location/organization/field guide/project focus/number of projects/number of students) will also be created to determine the specificity of placements over time. This information is readily available in the Aurora College BSN course files (not student files). Field guides and community practice partners in the Nursing Practice VI and VII courses from 2005 - 2021 will be contacted by email, followed by a phone call, to invite them to participate in the study. There will be no advertising. Results will be shared in an executive summary with all community practice partners, regardless of whether or not they participated in the study. The fieldwork for this study will be conducted from September 17, 2021 to December 31, 2021.
