Objective(s): To monitor environmental conditions during the pre-construction, construction and post-construction phases of the Project.

Project Description: This licence has been issued for the scientific research application No.4965. The objective of this project is to monitor environmental conditions during the pre-construction, construction, and post-construction phases of the Project. The research team will conduct the following: 1) Snorkel Spring Spawning surveys during pre-construction and post-construction; 2) Monitor and provide quality assurance for the construction work during all phases of the construction; 3) Prior to construction, collection of samples for analyses of Total Suspended Solids and Turbidity; 4) On-site environmental monitoring and inspections; and, 5) Post construction surveys using side-scan sonar, bathymetry, and velocity. Engagement Plan has been filed with the Mackenzie Valley Land and Water Board (Land Use Permit MV2017X0005). Results of this study and other Project updates will be regularly provided to surrounding communities. The fieldwork for this study will be conducted from June 4, 2021 to December 31, 2021.
