Objective(s): To obtain a baseline measurement of the organizational performance of territorial municipalities (local government administrations / First Nations Bands) in relation to their workplace health, safety and wellness management system.
Project Description: This licence has been issued for the scientific research application No.4637. The objective of this research is to obtain a baseline measurement of the organizational performance of territorial municipalities (local government administrations / First Nations Bands) in relation to their workplace health, safety and wellness management system. Each potential participant will receive an invitation via email from the researcher, with an explanation of the research and their rights as participants. Online Survey will be conducted. Each participant receives an email with a link to the survey. The online survey creates an individual code that protects confidentiality and the data (survey responses) are collected and presented as macro sets for each question. Digital survey data will be stored on a password protected single user laptop and a University of Waterloo (UW) server for 7 years with restricted access to primary investigator. Telephone Interviews will be conducted. Each participant receives an email invitation. Interview will be recorded, participants provide permission. Audio recordings are stored on a password protected single user laptop. Audio files are encrypted and will be transferred and stored on a UW server for 7 years. Access restricted to Primary Investigator. The reserarcher will continue communications with the Local Government Administrators of Northwest Territories Executive Director and Local Government Administrators of the NWT President (and Executive Committee) and engage with each Chief Administrative Officer / Band Manager / Senior Administrative Officer with 1) invitation to participate, 2) invitation for online survey 33) invitation for telephone interview, 4) thank you letter to participants, and 5) notice to participants that research findings are available. The fieldwork for this study will be conducted from January 9, 2020 to November 30, 2020.
