Objective(s): To carry out test trials on new Canatec beacons in a real field environment.
Project Description: The goal of this study is to carry out test trials on new Canatec beacons over several months in a real field environment. The researcher will charter a Twin Otter from Inuvik and fly out over the target area. Four beacons will be deployed by parachute from the plane at 500 feet. It is the researchers desire to develop research and professional links and relationships from the NWT on a longer term basis as this program progresses.
