Project Description: The purpose of this work is to add to the work that was done in 2002-2004 at the N-01 wellsite as part of an environmental assessment of the wellsite and associated facilities. This phase of the environmental assessment of the wellsite and associated facilities may include: additional vertical and horizontal delineation of environmental impacts; installation of two additional groundwater monitoring wells; field screening the soil; obtaining samples of the soil and/or groundwater for laboratory analysis; and reporting findings along with recommendations. Mobilization will be by roads via winter access. A helicopter may also be used. No base camp will be set up. Groundwater monitoring will be part of the overall assessment project later this year. The community will be consulted and an amendment to this licence will be issued when the details of the proposed monitoring program are known. The study will be conducted on N-01 Wellsite southeast of Fort Liard from March 12-13, 2005.
