Objective(s): Chevron Canada Resources, representing its joint venture partners, conducted a drilling program on Langley Island during winter 2003. Restoration of the salvaged top layer of material on the sump is complete, and the next stage is revegetation of the sump to stabilize the site and address community concerns. Under this program, several different revegetation treatments will be applied in order to monitor the performance and success of these different treatments. The collected information is intended to inform future decisions about revegetation of other sumps belonging to the Joint Venture in the area.
