Objective(s): The objective of this project is to determine whether Lookout Pond, at the Ekati Diamond Mine site, is a fish bearing water body. Should any fish be caught, they will be released back into Lookout Pond and the project will be terminated. Fish capture methods will follow the Department of Fisheries and Oceans protocol for mark/recapture. Net sizes used will be 1",1.5", 2", 2.5" and 3". Nets will be checked for fish capture every hour, and will not be left in overnight.
