Objective(s): To gather and summarize water quality and sewage effluent data collected in the Delta by: completing a literature review of water quality and sewage effluent research; collect water quality for analysis; describe the wetland biota along the drainage between Clearing Lake and the Peel River; document the distribution, past and present, of wood frogs in the Delta; and summarize the literature, analyse the data and prepare a plain language report.

Project Description: The researchers will determine what impact sewage effluent from the Hamlet of Aklavik is having on the water quality and biota downstream. The literature review will be conducted for the whole Delta. The distribution of wood frogs will be determined through interviews with people having camps in Delta and field observations. An idea of past and present distribution will give an indication of water polution impacts, and a baseline for future reference.
