Objective(s): To observe snow and ice crystals from arctic ice fog in order to better understand their complicated morphological characteristics; to show characteristic features of initial precipitation particles in natural clouds.

Project Description: The researchers will observe crystal formation from ice fog through the collection of samples for microscopic observation and through the taking of photographs/video of optical phenomena produced by floating ice crystals. Particle counting and cloud condensation nucleus counting at the observation site will also be done.
