Objective(s): To conduct hydrogeological research in an attempt to determine the fate of sewage infiltration from the containment lagoon on Igloolik Island; and to detrmine the quality (and hopefully quanity) of the subsurface flow.

Project Description: The researcher will conduct hydrogeological research in an attempt to determine the fate of sewage infiltration from the containment lagoon in Igloolik. Standard hydrogeological measurements will be taken to determine the quality (and hopefully the quantity) of the subsurface flow. This may include taking water samples for analysis (nutrients and bacteria) at the University of Guelph.
