Objective(s): To examine factors that may contribute to absentee-ism in appointments for the Orthopaedic Medical Clinic at Stanton Yellowknife Hospital; to assist health care facilities in determining the variables that lead to "no-shows" in order to aid in the delivery of efficient and cost effective health services.

Project Description: The researcher will examine appointment records for the Orthopaedic Medical Clinic (Stanton Yellowknife Hospital) in order to determine what factors contribute to patients not showing up for their scheduled appointments at the Clinic. The information collected will assist health care facilities in determining why patients do not show up for their appointments (i.e., identify difficulties in travel, costs, etc.) and to improve this aspect of health service.
