Objective(s): To clear delineate the best sites to provide granular material for use at the North Point area on Northern Richards Island; to evaluate the geological and environmental constraints to the extraction and use of the granular material.

Project Description: The researchers will visit the site in order to determine the locations and type of granular sources. Field work will involve the collection of some samples of surface sediments and a comparison of the land features with those found in air photographs of the same area. A report will be prepared for DIAND on the availability of possible granular sources as well as a summary of previous studies done on the area.
