Objective(s): To determine migration patterns and wintering population affiliation of the breeding component of tall grass prairie Canada geese.

Project Description: The researchers will be studying Canada geese which breed in the eastern arctic areas of Cape Dominion (on Baffin Island), the Boas River (on Southampton Island) and the McConnell River (on the west coast of Hudson Bay). Leg bands and neck collars will be placed on individual birds in order to assist US and Canadian biologists in determining migration routes and wintering grounds of the tall grass prairie population of Canada geese.
