Objective(s): To map, identify and interpret the Late Quaternary deposits relating to the last glacial episode and reconstruct paleoenvironments; to establish ice-flow history; to collect baseline geochemical and lithological data as an aid to mineral exploration.
Project Description: The researcher will be conducting geological field work in the region defined by the NTS Winter Lake Map (No. 86A). The work will involve surveying the land features and collecting samples of the rock and sediments in order that this information can be summarized on a geological map.
