Objective(s): To discern the types of technical data that inform the Nunavut Wildlife Management Board and the management process; to determine the level of Inuit participation in all research activities. A survey and summary of all data and information sources informing the Board will be performed in order to test if the principle cooperative aims of the Board are being fulfilled.

Project Description: This project will identify and summarize the types of information that the Nunavut Wildlife Management Board receives and uses in its decision-making. A survey and review of past Board meetings will provide data for this exercise as will interviews with government and Inuit officials that are associated with the Board. This research will be performed in Iqaluit with a short visit to Rankin Inlet to attend the Board meeting as an observer.
