Objective(s): To determine the distribution of migratory and breeding birds on the islands of James Bay, including the Akimiski Island Bird Sanctuary.

Project Description: This long-term study documents the types of birds found on the major islands in James Bay. Sightings of mammals, amphibians and butterflies will also be recorded. Sampling methods include point counts, line transects and direct counts.
