Objective(s): To produce 1:250,000 scale maps of bedrock geology; to analyze the areas' stratigraphy and structure; to analyze the resource potential of the bedrock; to collect rock and stream sediment samples for geochemical and geological analyses.

Project Description: The field program is intended to provide data in order to better understand the bedrock of the Canadian landmass as well as to provide basic information that can be used in land use studies, education, environmental impact analysis and resource evaluation. Data, measurements and samples will be collected on the different types of rocks found in the Vendom and Strathcona Fiord areas. The results will be put onto two new geological maps for the areas.
