Objective(s): To determine the current status of the charr stock in the Kuujjua River; to determine the impact of the subsistence fishery on the stock; to establish a total allowable catch and a fishing plan for the stock; to encorporate this fishing plan into a comprehensive management plan for the Holman area, including the four rivers in Prince Albert Sound.

Project Description: A full-span conduit weir will be used to estimate the strength (i.e., numbers) of the upstream run of arctic charr at the Kuujjua River. Fish passing through the weir will be counted and measured, and a subset of these fish will be tagged and sampled.
