Objective(s): To monitor the sex, maturity, age, length, weight and numbers of arctic charr caught in the subsistence fishery; to use these measurements as indicators of the health and population status of the stock; to provide an index of relative abundance of the stock based on CPUE data; to facilitate recovery of floy tags applied to fish of this stock in previous years.

Project Description: Representatives of the Paulatuk HTC have counted, measured and sampled all fish caught in the domestic fishery located at the mouth of the Hornaday River during the past several years. The project was standardized in 1990, with 1992 representing the third consecutive year of thorough monitoring of this fishery.
