Objective(s): To be able to illustrate to federal government agencies the need to create and support a Community Liaison Officer position for the Society for Disabled Persons in Fort Smith. This position would enable the Society to have a contact person advocate for disabled persons and help to integrate disabled persons into the work force.

Project Description: The survey will determine how many people require the services of a Community Liaison Officer, identify the various disabilities, and document the number of young disabled adults coming into the work force in the next 5-10 years. Depending on the outcome of the study, we will access federal funding to create a Community Liaison Officer position for the community of Fort Smith.
