Objective(s): To establish the phylogenetic relationship among Omphalina species and the relationships of the genus Omphalina with other genera within the Tricholomataceae; to better understand the evolution of lichenization by investigating genomic variation between related lichenized and non-lichenized Omphalina species.
Project Description: The researcher and his team will engage in field work to collect individuals from as many populations as possible of the facultative and obligatory lichenized species of Omphalina (mushrooms).
