Objective(s): To better understand the dynamics of decision-making inside land claims settlement areas; to determine how co-management and devolution affect sovereignty-assertion and national security in the arctic.

Project Description: The researcher and his team will engage in a comparative analysis of the Alaska, Inuvialuit and Inuit land claims settlements and their respective decision-making structures, using a case-study review in three settlement areas. There will also be some additional comparison of James Bay and Northern Quebec settlements.
