Objective(s): To continue work begun in 1991 to develop a viable description of Inuktitut syntax, both for the furthering of linguistics knowledge and for use among the native speakers of Inuktitut in studying their language at a college level.

Project Description: The Researcher will use informants to collect data on Inuktitut language. The data will be used for the completion of the material for the Inuktitut syntax course and as the basis of the analysis of Inuktitut sentence structure and the development of syntactic theory.
