Objectif(s): To examine Lower Cambrian to middle Ordovician strata in eastern Devon Island, to provide a sequence stratigraphic framework for the early, syn-drift phase of evolution of the Franklinian basin; to determine if coastal boundary currents, storm systems or transverse bypass systems played a significant roll in segregation of carbonate and siliciclastic facies in these strata;

Description du projet: This research represents a continuation of work carried out in 1985 on northern Ellesmere Island. The 1992 fieldwork will examine Lower Cambrian to Middle Ordovician strata in easter Devon Island.
