Objective(s): To obtain a first hand knowledge of Inuit attitudes toward specific government policies and how they have been affected by these policies; to obtain information on government policies toward the Inuit which is not available at the National Archives in Ottawa;

Project Description: The Researchers will conduct an historical examination of the policies of the Canadian and Soviet governments toward the Inuit, the similarities and differences of their approaches and the impact upon the Inuit.
