Objective(s): To map the geology at and near Countess of Sussex Mines; to search for and investigate other Frobisher mines in the general area;
Project Description: The Researchers will map the geology at and near the Countess of Sussex mines and investigate the mining methodology used by Martin Frobisher circa 1577. These mines represent the first attempts to mine gold in Canada.
