Objective(s): To collect for identification, macrolichens growing along the Mara, Burnside and Hood Rivers; to attempt to make a complete collection of macrolichens along these rivers; to collect samples of soil fungi along the Burnside River.
Project Description: The Researcher will collect lichens at approximately twenty sites along the Hood, Mara and Burnside Rivers. The macrolichen collection will be carried out to add to the understanding of the distribution of lichens in the Arctic.
