Objective(s): To provide near real time data of the aurora borealis; to study position, relative luminosity, magnetic variations, and ionospheric opacity to help determine the auroral activity and its effects upon the atmosphere;
Project Description: The Team will place a remote aurora monitoring observatory to support a scientific experiment called SPIRIT II. The observatory in Norman Wells will fill in a gap in ther internationally collected and shared auroral data set.
