Objective(s): To investigate patterns of crime in Arctic communities and the role the Northern Justice system in defining and managing these crimes;

Project Description: The Researcher will investigate patterns of crime in Arctic communities and the role the Northern Justice system plays in defining and managing these crimes. The research will be focused primarily on incidents involving Inuit women. Methodology will include reading public documents, interviewing people working in the system, tracing current cases in court, conversing with people within organized community aid programs.
