Objective(s): to study: a) the processes of decentralization and self-government as the conditions of increasing the life-activity of the community; b) the problems of adaptation to the conditions of the technological revolution and the types of the labor attitudes; c) the role of the community structure in controlling and regulating the negative consequences of the technological revolutions and accelerated social development;

Project Description: These researchers will carry out a part of the program of cooperation between Canada and the USSR on the economic and socio-cultural development of the native peoples of the North. They will conduct a cross-cultural and cross-societal analysis using questionnaires, observation, interviews, participation and discussion.
