Objective(s): To continue work begun in 1989 to quantify the breeding biology of the Harris' Sparrow, including clutch size, breeding cycle, reproductive performance, nestling growth and physiological condition of breeding females; to measure effects of major extrinsic factors, including inclement weather, predation, food supply, timing of laying and nest-site quality on growth and reproductive performance; to measure within and between year morphological and genetic variation in the population;

Project Description: The Researcher will continue to study the breeding biology of the Harris' Sparrow and White-crowned Sparrow. He will collect both physical and genetic information which include factors such as weather, food supply, nest-site, predators, number of eggs, breeding cycle and condition of females.
