Objective(s): To measure glacial motion and microclimate to help Geological Survey of Canada scientists interpret paleoclimate records from their ice cores;

Project Description: The Researcher will survey the positions of ice markers used to track the ice motion. A radio-echo sounder will be used to measure the thickness of the glacier ice over the area of interest. This project is in association with the Geological Survey of Canada and Dr. R.M. Koerner who is studying ice cores from the site for climate change indicators.
