Objective(s): To clarify the similarities and the differences of the attitude of the native peoples of Canada and the Soviet Union towards wage labour economy; to study the experiences of Canada in solving the most difficult economic and employment problems; to direct research and policy in order to minimize the negative influence of wage labour economy on lifestyles of the peoples of the North;

Project Description: The research team will study the attitudes towards work and the native peoples of northern Canada. Simultaneously, they will analyze objective conditions and subjective factors. Information will be gathered from official sources, participant observation and interviews in local communities using questionnaires.
