Objective(s): To determine sliding resistance of grounded rubble on soft soil on the Beaufort Shelf; to develop heli-portable spray ice spraying equipment; to determine feasibility of using snow fences to mitigate ice loads on bottom-founded structures in landfast ice areas;

Project Description: The research team will spray a small area of grounded rubble with sea water and measure the sliding resistance of the rubble. They will measure ice loads on the rubble, the horizontal movement of the landfast ice sheet and the rubble field.
