Objective(s): To clarify the origin and formation process of the ice body bearing in the permafrost related to paleoclimatology the of Arctic region; to gather information on the water budget, ecological changes and isostatic uplift in the period from the Glacial Epoch throughout to Postglacial present in the Arctic Coastal region;
Project Description: The Researcher and field team will conduct a geological survey and topographic traverse survey around the massive ground ice. They will take samples for ecological study and geochemical analysis.
