Objective(s): To establish the vertical distribution of zooplankton across Barrow Strait; to establish the vertical distribution of phytoplankton across Barrow Strait; to establish the overall condition of the zooplankton (feeding and metabolic activity) as it relates to their distribution; to account for the physical and chemical parameters in Barrow Strait waters (currents, salinity and temperature);
Project Description: The Researcher will determine how the feeding rates (also related to the availability of algal food) and metabolism of arctic marine zooplankton are related to their distribution and transportation through the waters of Barrow Strait.
