Objective(s): To investigate the ecology of the pre-smolt segment of the population to ascertain food habits, growth and assimilation rates and local movements into the the smolt population; to determine whether post-smolt sea-run fish are found in the system during summer, and whether such fish represent an early spawning population;

Project Description: The Fieldwork will involve removing fish from selected pools by a number of methods including electroshocking, seine and angling. They will be anaesthetized, weighed, measured and tagged. The researcher estimates that no more than 5% of the total catch will be dead sampled.
