Objective(s): To investigate the coherence of high frequency wavefronts propagated via the ionosphere;
Project Description: A radio signal will be transmitted from Yellowknife, to Los Banos, CA, U.S.A. at three selected periods throughout the year. The signal reflects from the ionosphere, and in doing so, experiences distortion. The severity of the distortion must be evaluated at different times of the day as well as different times of the year. This information will predict the utility of high frequency antennas up to 10 km in length.
