Objective(s): to research the goegraphic modelling of the occupation dynamics for the genus Dryas in the Canadian arctic and subarctic zones; to reconstruct the events which led to the plants distribution we observe today; to circumscribe the zones of interspecific contacts and infraspecific variations; to examine the importance of long distance dispersal
Project Description: Mr. Roy will carry out field work in the MacKenzie Mountains, Macmillan Pass and Tungsten areas. At each site he will examine the vegetation and the soil. Dryas specimens will be collected. he will examine other plants of the community and a small soil sample approximately 200 grams will be taken.
