Objectif(s): to take photographs and to interview residents to study the role of water and ice as they are used by different social groups within the community of Igloolik; to photograph and record marine flora, fauna and other aspects of natural history; to develop a photographic exhibition that compares the scientific perspective and the Inuit perspective of water and ice

Description du projet: Ruth Stirling will be recording how water and ice are used by Inuit during a year. She will be interviewing people and taking photographs. From this, she will make a photographic exhibition that shows how differently Inuit feel about water and ice in comparison to people living in the south. This exhibition will be displayed in England. She also wants to teach photography and establish a community slide library.
