Objectif(s): to map glacial sediments of southern Victoria Island by identifying surficial landforms and describing the sediments exposed within the landforms; to determine age of sediments by collecting organic material (fossil sea shells, wood, etc.); and to collect soil samples for lab analysis

Description du projet: Mr. Sharpe, along with other geologists and students, are continuing to investigate the way the glaciers shaped the landscape on southern Victoria Island. They will be collecting samples of rock, soil, and fossils in order to determine the source and age of different landforms. This information will be used to produce a map of the glacial geology of this area.
