Objectif(s): To develop an Arctic terrain classificaiotn which will provide the basis for a useable terrain evaluation for settlement sites. Project includes: 1) the description and mapping of basic terrain units in and around Rankin Inlet, 2) the construction of a lands systems classification, 3) an evaluation of the terrain units as sites for vairous functions, and 4) examinations of this study for existing and future Arctic settlements.
