Objectif(s): To study processes, lessons and outcomes from development partnerships between Indigenous communities and mining companies.

Description du projet: This licence has been issued for the scientific research application No.4528. The objective of this research is a continuation of the Principle Investigator’s (PI) previous 2016 case study research on processes, lessons and outcomes from development partnerships between Indigenous communities and mining companies. The PI has a draft case on the Tlicho Government relationship with DeBeers. This research is to update and submit the case study to the Tlicho Government for approval to publish. Case studies are written based on informant interviews and use of secondary data. Informant interviews are usually generated by referral. Interview of key informants knowledgeable about the relationship between the Tlicho Government and De Beers. Case study will be published and available for review. A presentation is possible if appropriate. The fieldwork for this study will be conducted from July 29, 2019 to September 24, 2019.
