Objectif(s): A greater understanding of the community interactions in a small northern freshwater lake is necessary to understand the biology and ecology of important species such as lake trout, lake whitefish, and northern pike. The specific objectives are; 1) to evaluate trophic feeding structure in a small shield lake by studying the fish species composition, food habits, and parasites and collect tissues for stable isotope studies; and 2) to establish patterns of movement of the three key species relative to depths, substrate and location of fish in Chitty Lake.
