Objectif(s): The purpose of this project is to document sea ice conditions at and in the vicinity of Devon's Beaufort Sea drilling prospects, and landfast ice movements at three drilling sites in Devon's Exploration Lease (EL 420) over the early winter to spring break-up time frame in 2003. In addition, information will be gathered that will be used to continue and refine the planning of Devon's upcoming drilling operations in EL420. Finally, information gathered on current ice conditions and movement data will be compared with historical information obtained in the 1970's and early 1980's, to assist us in dealing with the potential effects of global climate change.
