Objectif(s): The immediate objective of the research is to determine whether unique morphotypes of lake trout exist in Great Slave Lake. The long term objective is to determine the distribution and ecology of unique morphotypes in North America. In the Great Lakes the unique morphotypes are extinct except in Lake Superior. By studying Great Slave Lake and other large lakes, the researchers hope to better understand how lake trout adapt to large, deep lakes.
