Description du projet: This study will be a comprehensive collecting programme that will provide baseline information about aquatic-insect composition along the Horton River. The survey will also provide baseline information about aquatic insect composition, which may be used to monitor changes in water quality over time. The survey will last 3 1/2 weeks as the research team travels by canoe along the Horton River. Three canoes will be used to transport 5 team members and The Wilderness Adventure Company has been engaged to outfit the trip. The team will reach the headwaters of the river and will be picked up from the Arctic coast by chartered aircraft.
