Description du projet: Forest Fire Effects on Vegetation and Wildlife Habitat use: Research sites will be accessed by helicopter. Sites are located in burns of different ages. In the summer, small teams will complete vegetation plots, assess species composition and percent cover, and assess wildlife abundance. In the winter, helicopter track surveys will be completed. Forest Monitoring (ARNEWS and SI/MAB plots): The monitoring plots on Campbell Creek, Gwich'in Territorial Park will be accessed by boat. Measurements of tree health, species present, and size will be taken.
