Description du projet: This research will contribute to an increased understanding of ecological integrity in Nahanni National Park, provide information on the importance of glacial refugia as banks of genetic diversity and highlight the value of genetic diversity as an indicator of ecological integrity. The researcher will be transported to sampling sites within the park by Parks Canada staff (plane, helicopter). At each site, samples will be taken from 3 populations of the plant species Small False Asphogel. Only a few samples are needed and if the population is not abundant whole plant collection will not be necessary. This work fulfills part of the requirements for the researcher's Masters thesis.
