Objectif(s): The arctic technology preservation project (ATPP), a joint project of the Arctic Institute and an industry advisory committee chaired by Murray Todd, has as its goal the debriefing of key players in the technical, environmental and socio-economic aspects of Dome, Canmax, Gulf, Esso, Shell, and Panarctic's activities in the Beaufort Sea and Arctic Islands. By traveling to Inuvik, the researchers wish to include the insights of people in the communities who experienced and were possibly involved in such activities.
Description du projet: The researchers will conduct and record (with permission) personal interviews with local residents in three communities who experienced or were possibly involved in the technical, environmental and socio-economic aspects of the Arctic oil industry.
